Project at a Glance
Neptune Marina Apartments, California, USA
FF600 First Flush Diversion System
Outdoor dog relief area exposed to rainwater
Environmental compliance and marina protection from contaminated runoff
The Plan
Neptune Marina Apartments (Marina Del Ray, California, USA) needed a way to manage their outdoor dog relief area, which was fully exposed to rainwater. The main concern was that contaminated runoff could wash into the stormwater system and ultimately into the marina, causing environmental impact and non-compliance.
The Solution

A FOX FF600 First Flush diversion system was installed to automatically capture and divert the first flush of rainwater and washdown water to sewer for proper treatment. Once the initial contaminated volume is captured, only clean water is allowed to continue to the stormwater system. This provided a reliable and simple environmental control solution for an unroofed outdoor application.
The Outcome
The site is now environmentally compliant and the marina remains protected from contamination. The dog relief area can continue to operate safely without risk to waterways, and site staff don’t need to manage complicated manual processes. The FF600 solution is low maintenance, easy to operate, and provides long-term confidence in pollution control and stormwater protection.
